Stewart Haas Racing’s No:14 Ford Mustang driver Chase Briscoe has some big plans and objectives going into the 2024 season. The prime objective is to become a leader of the team like how Kevin Harvick was from Toy Stewart’s retirement till 2023. Briscoe is now the most senior racer at SHR and the only Cup race winner on the team.

Briscoe while talking about his plans for the upcoming season pointed out that he wants to become the leader at SHR by performing consistently like Harvick has been over the years. He wants his No:14 Ford Mustang to be the car the NASCAR fans will think of when they see the name Stewart Haas Racing.

For me, that’s the biggest thing is I wanna be the new Kevin Harvick at Stewart-Haas. I wanna be the guy that’s running up front week in and week out and when people think about Stewart-Haas, they think of the 14 car. That’s my whole goal going into this season and if we do that, then that leadership role just naturally gets placed upon you.

Briscoe will be joined by Ryan Parece, Josh berry, and Noah Gragson at SHR in 2024. Precee will have probably the final shot to prove himself in the Cup series in 2024 and his debut season for the team was underwhelming. For Berry and Gragson 2024 will be the year to establish themselves at the top tier and prove Tony Stewart did the right thing by hiring Gragson and Berry.  

The NASCAR fans had mixed feelings about Brisoce’s comments and rightly so. 2023 marked his third year at the top division and in those three seasons, he hasn’t produced a performance that could put him in a bracket of future champions of the sport, which is what SHR needs.

They mocked him for lack of consistency and underwhelming performing performance. Some fans highlighted Gragson as the guy who could make the difference for SHR next season instead of Briscoe and some also backed Berry to do the same.
