Anne, a former vegan, maintains that her approach to diet changed when she started shooting Interstellar and was forced to wear a 40-pound spacesuit. "I just didn't feel good or healthy," she confessed to Harper's Bazaar, adding that she felt "not strong." After eating a fresh piece of fish while in Iceland—"from a stream I could see from where I was sitting," she "just felt better" and incorporated animal products back in her diet. "With eating, my number-one thing is trying to buy food that doesn't come in packaging," she told Shape about her diet. "Beyond that, I try not to eat red meat, and I try not to eat pork."

Anne is one of the many stars who avoids the bottle. "'My issue is I just love it. So. Much. But the way I do it makes me unavailable for my son. My last hangover lasted for five days. I'd earned it: it was a day drinking session with friends that went into an evening birthday party with one of my drinking buddies. I will never be that person who can nurse a glass of wine throughout an entire evening," she told Tatler.

Anne famously shed a ton of weight to play Fantine in Les Miserables, losing 25 pounds fast. She later told PeopleTV's The Jess Cagle Interview that the weight loss put her in such a bad place couldn't enjoy the trophy. "I was just not in a grounded place in my life," she said. "I never wanted to go on and on about it, but that weight loss was not a long-term good thing for my health, and it took a really long time to come back from it. In order to do the transformation to play Fantine, I'd lost a lot of weight in about two weeks. I lost an unhealthy amount of weight in a short amount of time, and I was still really sick because of it."

"I'm not a natural wellness warrior," Anne confessed to Shape. "I have friends who go to longevity conventions. They take crystal baths. For me, I try to make it to yoga three or four times a week. It's a different story when I'm working on a film, though. I work out with a trainer, and I do a lot of strength training and HIIT when I need to do that."

Anne's "low-key" approach to wellness is all about moderation. "The balancing [of my approach to keeping in shape] is important to me. My go-to for a lot of my life was to feel bad about myself, and I just don't want to do that anymore," she told Shape.
