During his four years at Minnesota, he finished near the top in several categories, including second in receptions and third in touchdown catches.

While he saw some preseason action as a wide receiver, his first season went by without Thielen being added to the team’s roster.

He signed a four-year extension for $64 million with the Vikings, with $35 million guaranteed, keeping him under contract until 2024.

Thielen started the 2020 season by recording six receptions for 110 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns against the Packers. 

He was placed on the COVID-19 list in November, but activated on December 2nd, and finished the season with the most receiving touchdowns in franchise history. 

In 2021, he started as a wide receiver alongside Justin Jefferson but suffered an ankle injury during Week 13 and missed two games. 

Unfortunately, after returning, he aggravated his injury in Week 16 and ended up missing the rest of the season. 

Following the 2022 season, Thielen was released by the Vikings to increase their salary cap, but he wasn’t teamless for long. 

In March 2023, Thielen signed a three-year contract with the Carolina Panthers, for $25 million, and he played with them in all 16 season games.
