7 Things Rihanna Does to Get the Body You Want Celebwell

How does Rihanna do it? The Barbadian superstar is a powerhouse, at the top of her game when it comes to her career and still maintaining a family life. And then there's her enviable physique—the 35-year-old is passionate about food, and works out both for appearance and her health. Here's what Rihanna does to maintain her energy and support her health, while still having lots of fun.

Rihanna's personal chef Debbie Soloman revealed the singer has a standard list of groceries she always gets—and protein plays a big part in her daily diet. "Every protein that you can think of that [Rihanna] eats," Solomon says. Also on the list? Vegetables, rice, and pasta.

Rihanna's regular diet is focused on healthy, nutritious foods.  "I have egg whites and pineapple for breakfast with hot water and lemon," she says. "For lunch I have fish and potatoes. I hate vegetables but I make myself eat them. For dinner I have fish again."

Rihanna refuses to eliminate the foods she really loves from her diet, so she works out extra hard to balance things out. "Legit, I have been in the gym every day this week because I am not willing to give up my food," she says. "But I will sacrifice an hour for the gym."

Rihanna is a cardio queen—she does plenty of cycling, jogging in place, stationary bike sessions, jump rope, and jumping jacks. "There's a reason why you feel amazing after a workout," says the Mayo Clinic. "Cardio exercise helps your energy by releasing endorphins, giving you more, lasting energy throughout your day."

Eggs play a major part in Rihanna's daily diet. According to personal chef Solomon's interview on The Doctors, she sometimes eats up to four boiled eggs for breakfast. "Because eggs are packed with protein, eating eggs can make you feel full longer," according to experts at the University of Utah. "As a bonus, eggs are low in calories, containing about 71 calories per egg. Eggs contain a nutrient called choline, which is an important component of managing metabolism."

Rihanna's personal trainer Ary Nuñez says the right food combination is key. "You shouldn't mix starches with protein because there is an enzyme that exists for the processing of starches and an enzyme that exists for the processing of protein," she says. "And they don't get along."

Rihanna makes a point of working out for health while still embracing her naturally curvy figure. "I'm about to get back into the gym and stuff, and I hope I don't lose my butt, or hips, or all of my thighs. I'll lose some, but not all," she told Vogue UK. "And I think of my boobs, like, 'Imma lose everything, everything goes!' But, you know, it comes with a price. You want to have a butt, then you have a gut."
